At a time in our culture when shortcut convenience seems to prevail, renowned design and lifestyle expert, Janet Simon, holds fast to her ideals that living with beauty and comfort is essential to living well. Janet’s passion for old school art of entertaining, where serving with linen and fine china is customary, goes hand in hand with her belief that every small element is essential to pleasing the whole.

During her 30-plus years as a trusted voice on creating splendid interior and exterior spaces, her projects have been realized with impeccable taste, an eye for authenticity and her own unique sensibility. Her love of the exquisite and timeless was nurtured early in her upbringing, and is shared with the select clients across the globe with whom she works.

When asked about her design approach, she says, “architecture, space and proportion factor into every design, with an attention to texture and the highest quality materials are essentials.” Her style is clean and comfortable, with light, proportion and scale coming together as the nexus that centers a room.

As a lifestyle expert, Janet is sought after for her counsel; she has been quoted in newspapers and national magazines, and her work is showcased in numerous design publications. Her projects have included private homes, estates, planes, and yachts. Janet is recognized as a visionary who aspires to excellence in all things.

Janet received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from Lafayette College in Easton PA, and graduated from the New York School of Interior Design. Her penchant for the timeless and elegant was enriched while she studied classical architecture in Italy. Her love of fine art and architecture remains inspirational in her work.

Janet loves entertaining at home and welcomes her guests with the consistent eye to elegance and gracious style that is always part of her everyday life. She generously devotes time to working with the Morristown Medical Center and has served as chair of the Women's Health Philanthropy Council.

Janet is termed a true original, and leaves her unmistakable signature on all of her work.
